What we need, in this age of obstruction, is alternatives. To do things right and offer good goods and services. But alternatives is not just one man. They are many people working together together.

I've just spent half and hour maybe, trying to figure out how to post in this phone. Because for years the mobile reply controls, and maybe post too, get hidden. So you have to go to the desktop mode, but I was wondering where the control for a new post went there (hidden in a menu and a graphic which has similar word and place to an non posting option in the mobile version). Anyway, my mistake for thinking the control was hidden in desktop as well. But this is just one of millions of examples of let downs in products that can also be perpetual. The products and services land up costing you more than any benefit you get from them. So, it rather deteriorates the appreciation for the product.

The marketing, a product done right. All it requires for a country to dominate the world. Is to offer right and correct product and service. BUT, which country will it be? Certain countries could easily turn their attention to this, and control our communication and data on these products and services, giving much control
Influence and soft power. The service of vested interests and greed has destroyed our product and services moral and usability infrastructure out of a certain country, opening up opportunity for other countries to take control. Any country! But, for private individuals, they can offer the alternatives and new custom standards to base them on.

I've thought of this sort of thing many times. But I am not getting to develop my alternative too forth and forth processing. But, that is a drop in the ocean. I am looking at the possibility of a new interactive TV standard and pocket desktop experience, to use on it, requiring only a small HDMI stub, or if the tv already supports the base functionality, through a USB/ethernet stub, or over wifi, or just built in, a cheap option.

But, maybe it will not be forth OS, or language, but we all could do something,in the little broken prices of the industry, and outside it. We are only losers, if we do nothing but loose.

People complain that there is no commercial large code project examples left. But, for instance, you could write an alternative service to Google groups. As a private service, single banner per page advertising could pay for it. This leads to servers, and chips in them. If you so wish to invest profit that way. I have been thinking of a message passing standard to have an open subject based structure like news and gopher has done, but using email as the message passing, going into platform controllable from a web front end, making posts editable as well. Methodology to reduce unnecessary posting, as well. Something to pay to get done out of eventual profit from other areas. But, it's not just posting messages and hosting websites, it's about posting content, like pages and websites, but in a more free form administration compared to getting and setting up a website. But, this also extends into websites (when allowed), to establish communities in a common standard. Dynamically simple WYSIWYG functionality. I must contribute some of this insite, to the original Opera web browser group (the head now leading Valdi) where they used the browser to set up a peer to peer home hosting by IP addresses (no domain name). Truely remarkable efforts there. So, that's just one thing, an internet website owner orientated advertising network service giving higher profit distribution to website content makers, and and setting its own standards to curb devaluation of advertising, was another. Plus many more things you all could do yourselves, rather than sit in the dirt and rot away. Very small step, by step, the world can be made a better place. (PS, a proper alternative to chromecast, by completing the alternative streaming standard project based on the open source, is one example. To do direct no network streaming, low latency. My own TV stub proposal above would have it's own streaming and some new interactive display modes to provide a benefit over the existing standards).
