I don't think it is a good idea for you to test the waters with regard to harassing me again. Your conduct today wasn't illegal, but instead worrisome in the sense that it looks like you are conducting some "research" regarding trying to figure out new strategies for pursuing your (past-tense?? hopefully???) hobby of abusing and harassing me, in order that you might damage my mood.

I urge you not to conduct this sort of investigation, as it is very suspicious.

I shouldn't have to be extremely strategically sophisticated to counter the possible re-initiation of the pursuit of this perverse and sadistic hobby of you and your well-educated lawyer husband.

I'm glad things have calmed down again. Please allow me to share a metaphorical insight that might help anyone who is considering bothering a mentally ill person during his/her attempt to recover to persuade him/herself not to do it:

The metaphor is: A patient is in the hospital and his/her broken leg is in a cast. How many times would it be appropriate to walk up to this person's hospital bed, and take out a couple of drumsticks and start playing the person's broken leg in a cast like it is a drum or other percussion instrument, all while in a hospital where the doctors and nurses can see what you are doing?

Even if this conduct doesn't constitute harassment from a legal perspective, it would be seen as "horrifying" and "morally disgusting" and "disgraceful" to the average citizen. Many people would not really want to associate with the person who is doing this.

The best course of action when faced with this hopefully pleasantly provided metaphor is to say to yourself: "Okay, I've made some serious mistakes, and played the patient's cast like a drum, maybe causing some mild damage to the patient, over 20 times. Now that I see this: Maybe I should cut my losses and just stop doing it. 20 isn't that different of a number from 21, but I bet 'sooner' is always going to be 'better' in cases like these. I'll probably be more forgivable if I can say, 'At least I stopped when I saw the hospital and cast metaphor.' I do have a sense of humanity and mercy to my temperament."

This post is shared to help all harassers of mentally ill people reflect on whether not it is worth it to hurt a mental patient emotionally or otherwise. I am not trying to be nice in all of my posts, but I am trying to be nice in this one. It is directed at everyone. A long-term pattern of making mistakes can be halted and turned around, decreasing damage to one's reputation/brand/life/etc., whether readers, religious and not religious, think that is for real or not.
