Note: the changes listed in this thread apply to the next release (probably 0.6.5)

I've now merged spoolnews into rslight, so no need to run a separate instance. It will take the list from your groups.txt file (the groups you want to make available) and use that on first run. Also, overview does the same thing, so no need to create the config files for these features.

If you have a real spool on the same machine, spoolnews can be disabled in config.

So far this all seems to be working well, and is faster than the previous method.

Also, there is now no config info at all in the web accessible directory, including no need to point to your config (so if you run multiple instances like rslight.i2p does, it already will know where to find config data.

This way, you can just extract the entire install over a previous install and no issue of overwriting anything customised. Any config file changes (which are not in this directory) will me mention in release notes.

Also, there is now a 'mods' directory, where you can place your own header.php and style.css. If they exist, they are used. If they don't exist, the copies from install are used.

This seems to be working fine, and is faster than before.

While merging spoolnews into rslight, I've also made some changes that seriously reduce the need to connect to the news server. This has also made loading messages much faster. You probably can't notice the difference in i2p or tor, but on clearnet it's obvious. Timing the script to create the page shows about a 70% increase in speed.

This seems fine, and I am updating rslight this way now. I just overwrite the entire directory and keep running. There is nothing to configure in the web accessible directory.
