my windows 11 machine hides the Wifi icon for some reason every time i boot it up

That's because you're using a well-known malware program known as "Windows". It is commonly installed by computer manufacturers because it's creator pays them off. Either Linux with Cryptsetup encryption, or OpenBSD with full disk encryption
with bioctl. Reach the FAQ for that, is not that difficult.
You can repartition your disk with ease (UEFI makes that much easier)
and dual boot from a UEFI menu. Is not rocket science.
