I read the term "glow agency" in another thread on this board, and assumed that it was describing some letter agencies (deriving from the glowing aspect of emergency lights).
Now I stumbled across this meme (here: https://ramble.pw ) and it seems more a reference to a neckbeard that is acting as a snitch, the "glow" seems to derive from the screen.
Is the term "glow" used in both contexts ? Or is it something else altogether ?

The terminology originates from from Terry A. Davis, who had schizophrenia and passed away in 2018. He probably picked up his slurs from 4chan which he frequented and was well known over there.

"Glowie"/"Glower"/"Glow agency" is said to be an adoption by intelligence agencies to fit in with the 4Channers without having to say "nigger", because 4Chan adopted "CIA nigger" and more commonly "glownigger". It has also seen adoption in other communities which do not wish to use the slur but still want to use "glow" to mean radiating CIA/FBI vibes.

Thank you for your explanations.
As usual with things coming from 4chan, I resent the racist slur, even if "only" meant to be edgy.
"Glowing" sounds good to me, though, also has an association with radioactive material (like in this old favorite of mine in the image - someone remembers ?).
