That was fast. Colts QB Carson Wentz will
have surgery to repair his foot, per coach
Frank Reich. He’s out up to 12 weeks, but
could be much less. They will remove a bone
in his foot.

The amount of time Wentz misses has a
dramatic impact on which 2022 the Eagles
will get based on the following terms of the
trade:

Eagles are trading Wentz to the Colts for

o a 2021 3rd-round pick (No. 85)

and

o a conditional 2022 2nd-round pick that
can turn into a 1st-round pick if either of
2 conditions are met in Wentz's 2021 play-
ing time:

1) Wentz plays 75% of the Colts’ snaps in
2021

OR

2) Wentz plays 70% of the Colts’ snaps in
2021 AND the Colts make the playoffs.

In relation to his foot injury, if Wentz was
out for the first 6 games, that would elimin-
ate the possibility of the Eagles getting the
Colts 1st round draft pick in 2022.
