I look at it this way--if the fucking eagles with help from the turds don't make that move, we could still have made that trade with Chicago. But, we would not have made the trade.

Now twice every season for many years it will be like playing against DeSean Jackson. Plus da bears were a playoff team last year, so no reason to think they will not be one again. This probably will not be a high level #1 pick.

I look at it as now we KNOW who Dallas is more scared of, because really they didnt get shit back, the whole move was to try to fuck us at least for 2021.....and also if the bears play that kid they just payed so dearly for they might have a rough season...tho that D usually bails them out.

I look at it as the turds got an extra pick by making the trade, while they get nothing if they don't. It was not about who they feared most.

they helped philly and screwed us, at least in the short term.....period.......rarely do division rivals make trades like that, i cant recall it happening.....a 3rd rounder? not like an offer they couldnt refuse. Remember even if you are already anointing Smith "the next Desean Jackson we play twice a year" which is way to premature.... the same holds true for Dallas, they have to play Philly twice a year too.

Dallas got the player they wanted plus an extra third round pick. I wonder if Chicago made a similar offer to move up to get Fields to dallas. Would they have taken it? And we would have had Smith.

Well obviously Dallas didnt think they could get the guy they wanted at 20 plus a #1 next year plus without improving philly or they woulda been pretty stupid not to do it.....like i said give me another example of division rivals trading first round picks.....off the top of my head i cant think of one. That tells me Dallas was more worried about us getting Smith. Otherwise they wouldnt have potentially improved Philly for a lousy #3. But in the long run it helps the Giants because DG is being universally praised for the trade..... maybe in the short run too depending on how Smith/Toney play in 2021. So fuck both of them. In a way you can look at it like this: We lost smith but gained 2 #1 draft choices a 4 and a 5 for him. All fuckin Dallas did was get a #3 AT THE EXPENSE OF POTENTIALLY IMPROVING A DIVISION RIVAL.. So of all 3 teams i say win Giants......unless Smith becomes perenial all pro and Toney busts..... or the guy Dallas picks with their #3 is better than Toney, and the #1 we get next year. Not likely. And thats even putting the #4 and #5 aside.....
