One of the ex-drivers admitted they use signals in their radio language. i.e. "the tyres" will have a different meaning to "my tyres" was from memory his example.

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that top-level racing drivers
are hypersensitive to the condition of their tires.

And as someone pointed out, we just hear a lot more of Hamilton's radio
messages than anyone else's.

Agreed, and I think that it goes to show just how unpredictable the tyres are that one of the best
drivers on the grid spends most of his time during the race worrying about them. It's the thing
that he has the least control over.

I'd really like to see the current drivers let loose without the worry of frangible tyres (and fuel
saving).
