After breaking a 4 game losing streak yesterday, the Giants did just
about evverything they could to help Arizona win this one. Were it not
for the anemic hitter, Slater that is. Up in the 8th with the Giants
behind 1 run, Slater clubbed one 463 feet with Yaz on.

Slater has had 4 hits in his last 41 plate appearances. Even the Dback
pitcher knew it was gone.

Giants 6 Arizone 5

To go with the thrilling win, the Giants committed 3 errors. Wade in
the outfield, Casiali (catcher interference again) and Crawford.
