Calling Degroms start "video game stats" doesnt do it justice because it is BETTER than video game stats, trust me i know.... "MLB the show" is prolly my Fave vid game.
They put up a stat during last nights game .....after 9 starts Degrom has the BEST ERA EVER IN MLB HISTORY (0.62) for 9 starts since the stat was kept over 100 years ago....the only other name on the list i knew was Juan Marichal.....a few were pitchers on the list from the 1910's!!!!!!

I usually am not an advocate of the Cy Young also winning MVP, but this may be the one exception, especially since the ex shortstop who feilds his position as good as any is also hitting .450.....good lord this isnt video game stuff its the overgrown kid in little league dominating everyone because he matured faster....

You want video game stats? I got em. After 10 starts in my MLB the show season Degrom (99 rating in the game) he is 7-0, 2.35 ERA, 106 Ks in 69 innings. Pretty good stats huh?...unless you compare it to his REAL LIFE stats! I guess they gotta go over 100 rating....just for Degrom....110 the Degrominator rating....

Every time he takes the mound, I feel there's a decent chance I'll see
a perfect game. He's that good. I've been following baseball a good
long while and the closest I've seen to this dominance was 1968 Bob
Gibson. So far, he's even topping 1978 Ron Guidry and 1985 Dwight
Gooden. It's still only June; I just hope it lasts.

Yea this is startin to eclipse even docs hey day....only reason why he hasnt eclipsed Seaver yet is a few more years of longevity but he is well on his way and getting better....

And as far as keeping it up ernie, even if his current ERA DOUBLES it will still be a season for the ages for Degrom....and as for the big picture im starting to believe, if the Mets can just tread water til they get some bats back the division should be theirs, because its not just Jake, Stroman and Walker are starting to become Koosman and Matlack to Degroms Seaver, and most surprisingly the weakness of recent years has now become a strength.....the bullpen... and finally Lindor is starting to hit.....knock on wood...
