Players are physically spent, even if they weren't, I highly doubt they
can endure 120 minutes against this Brazil, it's much better opponent
than most of those we had 4 years ago. And it's a different team we have
now.

This is not 2018... Croatia is not winning with that geriatric teams against an uber-talented Brazil (which is in fact the strongest Brazilian squad since 2002).

Trademark of this team is conceding early goals, happened against Denmark,
England, France, Canada... you name it, so this wouldn't be a surprise.

We are a bit disappointed with our game, but in the end being in QF again
is an incredible success for us and there is absolutely nothing to lose

all the pressure will be on them.
Something unexpected can always happen, maybe instead of early goal some

This Argentina team has not impressed me at all, and the Dutch are
peaking at the right time. I think they are going to win.

Those two teams produced two of the most dramatic matches I have ever
seen. In 1978 in the final they were tied 1-1 in injury time when
Rudi Krol took a long free kick that put Rensenbrink through on the
left side. He shot past Fillol and hit the post. Argentina rallied
in extra time--they had done very little in the second half--and won
3-1.

Twenty years later it was 1-1 with a couple of minutes left when de
Boer hit a 60-meter pass to Dennis Bergkampf. He trapped it, pushed it
past the great Ayala, and scored off the outside of his right foot.
Surely one of the most dramatic goals of all time. Alas, the Dutch
lost the semi-final to Brazil on penalties--they could have exactly
the same draw this time.

Brazil are obviously favorites against Croatia but anything could
happen. The Croatian defense is very strong.

Croatia are one of the best-organised teams in this World Cup. Surely Dalić deserves some credit?

Yes, this was definitely the best half we played, I knew we could do it
but watching us so far was mostly a torture.

Agreed. You looked like a real team. Very solid. And Brazil too, of course, but the croats were more or less their equals. Very good first half, hopefully they can keep it up.
I guess that's the big question. Will they be able to do it for 90 or 120 minutes ? If so, anything can happen.

Actually, given that Brazil had all the chances they're the ones who deserve to go through. But there's one small detail - they need to actually score.

I'm not even watching. :)

Somewhat lucky goal for the croats, though the counter move was brilliant. But I think Brazil didn't play the advantage situation well. What were they doing, attacking with so many people in the opposite half for so long and not even very convincingly ? It might very well cost them.

but what we are doing is miracle, as corny as it sounds.

Unbelievable Croatia. Though it's mostly Brazil's fault IMO but hey, who would have thought the croats can do anything like what they just did ?

Not really, if you're caught with your pants down in a counter attack like
that, four minutes from time, second half extra time, winning 1-0... really,
you can't punish that hard enough.
