After a decade with no champion the NY area could have 2 within a week or weeks.
Nets are prolly faves in NBA and the Islanders are 1 game away from going to final 4 in NHL.

Next up could be Mets, way to early to call tho. MLB just make playoffs then hope..... basically. Crapshoot. Funny as hell both Mets and Oriole fans were chanting "Yankees suck!" in Baltimore last night during the Oriole blow out.
The MLB champ will be a non asterisk champion, i guess Tampa was non asterisk in the NFL, tho the empty stadiums was weird, but it was a full season....

Yes but in the record books a shortened season is 100% an asterisk (as in strike/lockout shortened seasons before) but i don't see an asterisk in the books for "In the beginning of the 2020 NFL season most stadiums had no fans and some guys opted out for covid". The NFL just got lucky do to the timeing of the beginning and end of their seasons, and you gotta also admit they did a hell of a lot better with covid than the USA did in general, who couldnt even do better than some 3rd world countries...NFL has professional leaders, thats why, and not wannabe leaders.....
