Follow-up:

A flurry of setbacks this week, La'el Collins sus-
pended, Gallup out for at least 3 weeks, Lawrence
out for at least 6 weeks, Gregory likely out for 1
game, 4 starters out.

Reflecting on the loss of Demarcus Lawrence for
at least 6 weeks & the likely loss of Randy Gregory
for 1 game, last week, the Cowboys sacked Tom
Brady -0- times. In 2020, opponents sacked Tom
at least once in 11 of 16 games, 2 times in 2 games,
3 times in 3 games.

Run-stopping, Lawrence in on 5 tackles, but Greg-
ory only in on 1, & the Bucs only ran the ball 14
times, throwing it 50 times.

Turnovers, of the Cowboys 4 takeaways, Lawrence
caused 1 of them & Gregory recovered that fumble.

So, based on what happened in week 1, one would
be hard-pressed to presume that the next men up
will definitely be less effective than the 2 DEs lost,
with all due respect to Lawrence & Gregory, with
full acknowledgement of the likelihood they will be
less effective, but you can't have less than -0- sacks.
