They already got a technicality to throw out the two-year European ban, but that technicality does not apply here.

If the EPL is serious, that's three titles they're going to have to vacate, and I'm not sure they can technically continue the club at all.

The club aren’t owned by the Premier League so the EPL can’t dissolve them as such. They can relegate them or impose a transfer embargo but can’t do anything directly to stop the entity Manchester City FC from trading or potentially competing in another league.

Sometimes we should be grateful for small mercies. They could have done nothing at all, and most of us would still be tuning in to watch City every week.

I expect some tough talk from the FA, a fine for Man City and something
'harsh' like a points deduction that is actually suspended for a few
years to make it seem like they are being tough. When the reality is
the FA themselves have participated - and actively encouraged - the
financial raping of football fans in England and sold the English game
to the highest bidder. Man City are really only in trouble for getting
caught out because of some leaked e-mails... how inconvenient.

Removing Premier League titles is a harmless option years after the
event. But what club wants a title handed to them in a office ten years
after that season is over? It's a waste of time. It might make good
headlines on Sky Sports News though!
