And he did it against the best defensive line in the league. At least that's what I 've been hearing all preseason. I am worried about him getting hurt though. He is the opposite of Eli when it comes to protecting himself. DJ hangs in the pocket too long sometimes which will lead to fumbles and injuries, also a running QB is more likely to get hurt. But his running is a big part of the offense this year, at least until Saquan gets going.

Yea i know what you are saying but basically if the defense doesnt wake up and Saquan takes all year to comeback from his knee he is on his own, and since this is his "make or break" year he has to let it all hangout, let it fly so to speak....i mean what i see around the league is all these QB's make mistakes all the time......throw picks.....fumble......BUT they just shrug their shoulders keep firing away and outscore people.

I guess what i'm saying is you cant play scared that you will make a mistake and if you do make one its not the end of the world, forget it, get back out there and make up for it don't go into a shell. I see it time and time again with other QB's who are considered top QB's....otherwise those mistakes that you WILL make anyway will be all anyone talks about....And the way this D looks now a "game manager" doesnt cut it. Let Dan Cook. if he fails he fails. But failing being to conservative and playing scared is just a "give up" IMO. His career is on the line so if he has to take matters into his own hands change plays at the line so be it.
He's prolly smarter than Judge and Garret combined and can't fall back on the "young guy still learning" card anymore, not in todays NFL.
