I'm always surprised how little kickers get. You'd think I would learn.
They are quite valuable, but get no respect in the locker room and
somehow that translates into low pay. It makes no sense.

The thing about kickers is that they can be perfect one year and completely fall apart the next, or vice versa. Look how well Josh Lambo and Younghoe Koo have done for other teams since getting cut by the Chargers. Or how Nate Kaeding was the most accurate kicker in league history for years but missed crucial kicks against the Jets in the playoffs.
