All three qualifying sessions were fantastic.

Well done to Alonso, looked like he had it till the last lap.

And an amazing last sector from Verstappen to beat it.

Loved how the TV commentators kept going on about how Monaco didn't suit the Red Bull car, Perez probably would have been second or even first if he hadn't crashed.

In the sense that the track didn't really have all that much straight
where the Red Bull could show it's best attributes, I think they were right.

Monaco DOESN'T suit the Red Bull...

....but it is still the best car out there.

Those two things are mutually exclusive.

:-)

I hate to admit it, but Max showed up the whole field with his tyre
management on that last lap. Neither s1 nor s2 were purple but Max so
much grip left for s3 and it clearly mattered.

A masterclass from Max.

What I heard - correct me if I am wrong - Alfonzie was consistently
faster/fastest on sector 1 and Max on sector 3.
Both by a significant margin, so I guess it the car more then anything.
