We went through the same thing last year. They didn't get in but
everyone had high hopes for this year. Unfortunately everybody kept
their jobs and the results are the same. Little wonder?

down call with about 2:15 left? (Not going for the field goal at the 3
yard line) Dumbest call of the year. He's lucky they got the win, or

It's not a 3 yard field goal; it's 21 yards if the line of scrimmage is the 3 yard line. I hope you noticed when they scored the td to break the 9-9 tie, they went for 2 will you would normally just kick the extra point.

Yes you prolly could kick it from that range....with no rush and no need for timeing on the snap, hold and approach on an empty field from a kicking tee...i think teams SHOULD have emergency place kickers just like emergency QB's....but you gotta practice every week you cant just go out and do it...

Sorry, this is on me. I only saw the 4th quarter and did know kicker
was injured. I just couldn't believe that Rivera didn't kick at that
time. Now I know why.

It happened on one of the strangest plays I have ever seen near the end of the half. The Washington kicker missed the extra point, clanging it off the goalpost. The ball bounded back onto the field of play where a Seattle player picked it up and started running with it. The kicker was one of the Washington players who tried to chase him down before reaching the opposite end zone, and he seemed to pull a muscle in his leg. If the extra point had been good, the score would have been 10-7 Washington. Instead it was 9-9.

The main issue was that they kick with different legs. And the

Was the regular placeholder also the one who would be attempting the field goal? The regular placeholder is normally the punter, and if he was going to try the field goal, they would need a totally different placeholder. It is not so automatic without practice. They have to catch the hike which might not be perfect, and then place it down with the ball possibly having to be spun to get the laces in the proper position.
