Disclaimer: For a huge array of reasons, Tom Brady
is the Greatest of All Time.

However, the following list, based solely on the best-
season Approximate Value of each QB, PFF was so
impressed with Lamar Jackson's record-setting most
rushing yards by a QB in 2019, they gave him the high-
est Approximate Value in any season of any starting
QB projected to start in the 2022 season.

Rightly or wrongly, well, that's debatable.

A blatant flaw of PFF's AV, they totally ignore where
Tom Brady has set a standard far beyond any QB in
NFL history, the POST-SEASON, so therein resides
the achilles heel of the PFF AV stats. -IF- one takes
post-seasons into account, Tom Brady indisputably
has the best AV of all-time.

Surprising (to me), Jalen Hurts having the 10th-best
best-season-AV of the 32 QB starters. Another sur-
prise (to me), Dak Prescott's best-season-AV of 15
ranks him tied for 15th in the following list.

Geno Smith, very few starts since 2014, so 2022 is
mysterious. Trey Lance, if he starts in 2022, it'll be
his first full-time shot as starter (he had just 2 starts
in 2021) so 2022 is mysterious.

In fact, all of the starters (other than Sam Darnold
& Geno Smith) having best-season-AVs of 7 or less
haven't yet had enough time to see how well they
can play.
