How could they sign Glennon to be a backup? It's hard to imagine a quarterback even worse. Did they think they still had Eli who never missed a game? Did they not notice that Jones has missed games every season? Did they think that having Eli's demeanor would translate into never missing a game?

Look what the eagles got for a 6th round pick.

Players like Eli and Peyton who never miss a game are rare birds, outliers......even the GOAT missed virtually a full season to injury. And yes they do try to protect QB's but its almost a must to have a running QB these days, which of course Eli NEVER did and of course the by product of that is injury.....but my point was actually NO ONE can play QB in the Giants offense, so people look at that and think "Jones at least looks halfway decent playing in that dumpster fire when he is healthy, what if he was actually on a team with a REAL offense?" Are you gonna tell me Matt Jones is more talented that Daniel Jones? No, if anything DJ has more talent but Matt wins because his TEAM isn't coached by amatuers. Its the old argument "What if Simms (who the niners wanted in the draft) played on the niners in the Walsh offense? would he be HOF?" Not that Parcells had a bad offense like the current Giants have but it was just conservative most the time and no QB would put up pinball numbers.
