One question is: Is Bart ready? Well, he hits home runs. but when he
came up, his bat disappeared and he had trouble handling the pitchers.
That;s a lack of experience and big holes in his batting.

Casili handled the pitchers as well as Posey, but outside the
occassional home run, Casili didn't hit for a good average. They say
Casili can mentor Bart, but that is a long way from the ideal mentor,
Buster Posey.

This is where maybe they can look into free agency.

Posey passed up a $22 million salary next season.

Only big salary left on the books is Longoria, who got his deal before
Zaidi was on board.

So Zaidi has waited out all but one of the bad contracts he inherited.

They've got money and space, but losing Buster will take some of the
luster off pitching for the Giants. Bart hasn't proved much, except
that he can hit home runs in the minors.
