Over at Defector, a website mostly populated by the former writers of Deadspin, Drew Magary answered a reader's suggestion of moving the goalposts back to the front of the endzone (like they were until 1974) in the negative with a long explanation of why it didn't make sense. He then capped it off with this gem: "Also: if you move the goalposts back to the front of the end zone, someone on the Chargers will run into them and die."

Never have I read a more accurate summation of the Chargers.
