Yesterday, in the 49ers' 31-14 beatdown of the Rams, newly acquired San Francisco RB Christian McCaffrey ran for one TD, caught a TD pass, and also threw a TD pass. This made him the first player to accomplish that trifecta in a single game since 2005, when it was done against the Raiders by Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson.

Not that I can see. Found an excellent chart on Pro Football Reference for passing stats from non-QBs: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/friv/nonqb.htm

LT has the highest passer rating among RBs with at least 10 career attempts.. Only Antwaan Randle El, a WR who was a college QB, tops him in that category. Discounting the half dozen backs who played in the 40s and 50s when it was apparently far more common for halfbacks to throw the ball (probably from option/wildcat style offensive formations), only Walter Payton with 8 TDs has more than LT's 7 TD passes, and Payton had almost 3 times the career attempts (34 vs. 12).

That chart is a great find. LT throwing that halfback option pass was a
beautiful thing. He completed 8 out of 12 passes, with 7 going for TDs.
I thought he threw more. Interestingly, Marcus Allen completed 12 of 27
passes, although only 6 went for TDs.
