As San Diego legendary sports writer Jerry Magee used to say (paraphrasing), "Beware of betting against teams who are desperate."

Let's face it. A loss to the Dolphins would have likely meant the season was over when it comes to the playoffs.

Yeah, I thought for sure they would lose and they came out full of fire and played better than any other game this season. Of course, being the Chargers they couldn’t make it easy - the fluke Hill TD on a fumble, fumbling a snap near the goal line (luckily Herbert recovered), and Palmer muffing the onside kick (luckily Niemann recovered).

Still, it was a huge win and Herbert slammed the door on any of the media idiots who were saying Tua is better. If they can beat the suddenly reeling Titans, they probably need two wins in their last three games to make the playoffs and the opponents are all teams having surprisingly bad seasons - Indy, the Rams, and Denver.

throwing behind his starting OL. (Staley said today that Slater could be
back before the regular season ends.) It's amazing that he can do this
while running for his life half the time.
