Will Jim want total control like BB?
The Giants NEVER have operated that way, even Parcells had a Boss, at least while with the Giants he didn't "shop for the groceries" to use his classic line.
If you don't go the "hot coordinator" route Jim would have to be best option, unless you want to dust off Cowher i guess. But has the game passed Cowher by? Thats what many said about Gettleman. And who could argue that right now. Jim is still a relatively young 58 (born in '63 like me!).

Nothing even remotely concrete yet, but here are some early rumors, more like speculation than rumors actually.

LOL, you once claimed to be basically the same age as me. I was getting ready to graduate high school when you were getting ready to get out of diapers.

Harry Truman was president when I was born (first term)

I have no idea how old you are but i figured i was younger.....i may have said people our age in a very general sense before, meaning like compared to the the wokeies. I think the hippies were the generation right before me and the "grunge rockers" (Nirvana, Pearl Jam) the generation right after...."Fast times at ridgemont high" was my generations "coming of age" movie (late 70s to early 80s)....yours seems to be american graffitti!

But I have been A Giants fan since 8 years old....i remember the Fran Tarkington, Ron Johnson, Bob Tucker, Spider Lockhart days....in fact my first year in organized tackle football I was also 8. So even tho its been a long time i've been thru the lean times before like we are currently in. When Giants even just finally made the playoffs i was in my glory! I believe it was a wildcard game vs Philly the Rob Carpenter days. '86 you could feel it coming even several years before...samething with the '86 mets and '94 Rangers....you just felt it by mid season.....the Giants last few ones with Eli it wasnt really like that...really good teams but NOT dominate at all, thats why TC may be best Giants coach ever.....you know SB era not counting like Steve Owen...

Yea here it is '81, Simms must have been hurt because he did start most games that year but Brunner played this game, and of course LT's rookie year, the drought was over.

If you were as old as me you would remember Andy Robustelli (my first favorite Giant), Jim Katcavage, Rosie Grier, Sam Huff (you probably heard of him) on defense and Frank Gifford, Charlie Connerly (the second best Mississippi qb in Giants' history and also the Marlboro man in ads), Y.A.Tittle, Frank Gifford, Alex Webster, and the best offensive tackle in Giants' history, Roosevelt Brown. Oops, I forgot Em Tunnell on defense, a true Hall of Game player.

And Jim Howell had quite a coaching staff. Lombardi coached the offense and Landry the defense.

I know of all of them i just never saw them play live. And yes they are all in my Giants tribute video that i refused to finish after yet another crap year......maybe if they hire a good coach ill release it before opening day next year.
