I differ with many of the comments the reviewer
made, but for me, the one character that dramat-
ically adversely impacted that season was the
character of "Claire Otoms", so the reviewer's com-
ments about that character I agree with except I
think that character ruined the show, & I can't ...

.... fathom why some individual(s) thought that char-
acter should be on the show. I suppose some peo-
ple, for whatever reason, like a man dressing up as
& playing the role of a woman. I don't. I despised
that character & for me, her (his) appearances des-
troyed the last season of Ally McBeal.

The reviewer's other complaints about season 5, I
differ with many of them other than agreeing with
what he had to say about the Otoms character. The
scriptwriters are to blame for the decision to keep
Ally McBeal on the inability to find an acceptable
mate path.

I liked Ally's daughter & I liked Jon Bon Jovi who
wasn't to blame for the writers' decision to break
him up with Ally.

I liked the finale. I liked most of the music in sea-
son 5 & liked the new characters other than you-
know-who.
