RM: Wow. After the Allen and Williams restructures, they were still $6M
over cap. With this, they are $20M under. And they can save an
additional $6M (I think) by cutting Feiler, although they probably can't
do that until they know they can re-sign Pipkins.

Allowing $3M to sign rookies (the $3M is the addition to the cap caused
by replacing the 7 lowest salaries in the "top 51" salaries with the 7
rookie contracts) and a minimum of $4M in cap space for in-season moves
(Popper says Telesco likes to have $7M available), these moves give the
Chargers $13M to work with to sign free agents.

But the 2024 cap hits for these four players are insane:

Mack: $38,517,500

Bosa: $36,611,666

Allen: $34,717,500

Williams: $32,460,000

Then there's

James: $19,856,494

JC Jackson: $19,375,000

Linsley: $14,100,000

Sebastian Joseph-Day: $10,000,000
