Good signing. Now it's pretty much down to the Ekeler situation. The free agent market for RBs hasn't been all that robust, so he may not find a team willing to trade for him and give him the contract he wants. I think it's more likely he ends up playing out his deal this year (I could see him holding out in training camp) and going on the open market next year.

I agree, that seems most likely. RBs seem to be getting about $6M/year,
which just about exactly his 2023 base salary of $6.25M with the Chargers.
