Since there is nothing to watch, this young Texas feller, Doc, has got
me into the habit of watching some old ball games. Bunch of things
that I had forgotten about this game:
1. Winners will be paid $15,000, losers get $7500.
2. Colts were 18-22 point favorites.
3. Colts had, I think 5 turnovers. Morral had a couple right near the
goal line. Unitas also had one. Tom Matte, who had a very good game
also fumbled to the Jets.
Colts would have won that game except for turnovers.
4. Namath had some release. Wow. He didn't pat the ball. Held it in
one hand and threw it. Almost had a pick 6. Injured his thumb and had
to come out for just one play. I thought that he had a good, but not
great, game.
5. Game was brought to you "exclusively by NBC in living color."

Somewhere here, I have the 2007 SB game. I'll have to find it. Haven't
seen it in a long time.

Glad you're having fun watching the old games. What kills me is that the networks used to erase the games! We're lucky to have such things as the 3rd Super Bowl. I only wish we had more.
