O'Neil is my 2nd hole hitter when he is in the line up, as much as it
matters.

If I'm making out the line-up card, that's where he hits for me also. I
like Nimmo leading off because of his ability to get on base and run up
the pitch count. Lindor hits #3 followed by Alonso. I believe in the
philosophy of putting all your best hitters at the top of the line-up.

As long as he is in the top 5 or 6. He is probably best suited for the 2 spot, and you do want to have the best hitters near the top, but it's also good to have your best baserunning speed (Nimmo, Marte, Lindor) near the top also, in front of Alonso. So whatever....the most important thing is that he is healthy and IN the lineup, WHERE in the lineup is a secondary issue. It's one of those good "problems" to have.

The last time I remember the Mets having the "luxury problem" of having a stacked line-up was 1992; and that didn't turn out very well.
