https://www.si.com/fannation/mlb/fastball/news/new-york-mets-2023-projected-starting-lineup-pitching-rotation-bullpen

To me, this offense is weak... especially in the OF, C and 3rd.

The New York Mets are less than two months away from Opening Day.

The Mets had a very active offseason, adding Kodai Senga, Justin
Verlander, Jose Quintana and Tommy Pham to a team that won 101 games a
season ago.

Here's a look at our projected starting lineup, pitching rotation and
bullpen for the Mets in 2023, featuring 2023 slash lines and statistics:

STARTING LINEUP

C Francisco Alvarez .167/.286/.786 (14 career plate appearances) / Tomas

2B Jeff McNeil .326/.382/.836

3B Eduardo Escobar .240/.295/.726 / Brett Baty .184/.244/.586 (42 career
plate appearances)

SS Francisco Lindor .270/.339/.788

LF Mark Canha .266/.367/.770

CF Brandon Nimmo .274/.367/.800

The starting pitching has changed, the bullpen tweeked and the rest of
the line-up the same. In that division, it's still a toss-up.

It does seem like they spent a lot of money without getting
substantially better. They are really going to fly or not on the
bats of Baty and Alveraz. If they get 20HRs from each and a 350 OBP
then things will be looking much better.

The sneaky part of this is that trading DeGrom, Basset, and Walker, for Verlander,
Senga, Robertsen and the ballpen parts might be a huge up tick for the Mets.
DeGrom just didn't them any innings. nd I think Basset will have trouble
with the pitch clock. I'm not big on Basset anyway. We was ZERO and
Eight in low scoring games. He was 7-6 against teams above 500 which
honestly, I thought he was going to be a lot worst.

At the end of the day, I think that Verlander, Schwerzer, Senga,
Carrasco, Peterson, Megill is a much better starting staff than what
they had last season.

It could end up much much better than last season

The guy they are going to miss will be Lugo, IMO.
get on the mound.
