SAN FRANCISCO — Klay Thompson is available and will start Tuesday night
against the Dallas Mavericks, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said hours
before tipoff.

Thompson missed Sunday’s game against the Utah Jazz with knee soreness
and didn’t participate in practice Monday.

Since returning from his ACL and Achilles injuries that cost him nearly
2 1/2 seasons, Thompson has been on minute restrictions-playing anywhere
between 18-24 minutes a game.

In his six games of the season, the 32-year-old Thompson is averaging
14.7 points per game while shooting career lows in field goal percentage
(37.2) and three-point percentage. (30.2)

The Warriors are currently second in the Western Conference with a 33-13
record. The currently hold the best home record in the league at 21-4.

Kerr said trainer Rick Celebrini recommended Thompson missing Sunday’s
game after he felt a “tweak” in the knee that he had repaired in 2019.
Kerr said the decision was more “cautionary” than “concerning” and
listed Thompson as “day-to-day.”
