The only way for that to happen is
o Eagles lose to the Giants
o 49ers lose to the Cardinals
o Cowboys beat the Commanders

Won't know where the Eagles top draft pick
(which resulted from a trade with the Saints)
will be 'til the last game, but right now, if the
season ended today, the Saints are in a 4-way
tie with 3 other teams for spots 10 to 13 with
7-9 records, & based on the following ...

---
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-draft-tiebreakers/
Strength of schedule (SOS) is used to break
any ties between teams who have identical
records at the end of the season. The team
with the lower strength of schedule gets the
higher selection in the tie break. SOS is the
aggregate winning percentage of a team’s
opponents.
---

.... the Titans would draft 10th,
the Jets would draft 11th,
the Saints pick (traded to the Eagles) would be 12th,
& the Browns would draft 13th.

Of course, the season doesn't end now, so a
Saints win next week vs the Panthers would
place them at that spot or later depending
on how the other nearby teams fare in their
finales. There are 16 teams a game ahead
of or behind the Saints, so we won't know ...

.... 'til after those 16 teams results where the
Saints top draft pick owned by the Eagles
will end up at.

Will Daboll & the Giants play their starters to
try to beat the Eagles, giving the 1st round
bye to the 49ers (if the 49ers win) or to the
Cowboys (if the 49ers lose & the Cowboys
win)?

Unknown, as some articles claim Daboll will
try to win vs the Eagles, & some surmise it
would be better for Daboll & the Giants to
rest their starters, the result likely being the
Eagles cruising to the best record in the NFC.

The Giants, locked into the 6th seed, will play
at the 3rd-best division winner (most likely,
the Vikings) in the 1st playoff round.

The Cowboys, if they stay at the 5th seed, will
play at the 4th-best division winner (the Bucs)
in the 1st playoff round.

The Packers, Lions, or Seahawks, the 7th seed,
will play at the 2nd-best division winner (most
likely, the 49ers, but possibly the Eagles if the
Giants beat them in week 18) in the 1st playoff
round.

We know you're very concerned.

Eagles pick in 2023 and who gets the no. 1 seed.

Rest assure idiot you play whomever, wherever you must win.

But a OCD dummy must worry about it today and tomorrow and so on and on.

Strange reply, with 2 weird wherever dls's totality
of being comes from insults, objectionable as
always.

The first person in this newsgroup to express interest
in the Eagles top draft pick in 2023 that they got from
the Saints was you, when you were excited that the
Saints might end up one of the 3 or 4 worst teams in
the league. Now that they've played well enough to end
up with a draft pick likely in or near the teens, you seem
to have lost interest in that.

Yes, playoff teams must win to advance. Yes, the Cow-
boys are among the 14 NFL playoff teams, with only
the top 2 making it to the Super Bowl & only 1 team
being the 2022 season champ.

As for the Cowboys, with 3 wins over 3 of the NFC
playoff teams, losses to 2 or 3 of the NFC playoff
teams (3 if the Packers make it to the playoffs), a
win over 1 or 2 of the AFC playoff teams (2 only if
the Titans win their week 18 game), a loss to 1 ...

.... of the AFC playoff teams (only if the Jaguars win
their week 18 game).

So, overall, a vs playoff teams record of 5-2 to 4-4,
hard to say how well the Cowboys will fare as their
last robust success was at the end of the 1995 sea-
son.

Positive signs: #1 NFL team in takeaways, tied for
2nd-best NFL record, 2nd-best scoring team, top of
the ESPN Football Power Index.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/fpi

Per ESPN FPI Projection, best chance of making it
to the Super Bowl in the NFC but behind the Bills &
Chiefs in chances of winning Super Bowl 57.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/fpi/_/view/projections/sort/projections.probwintitle/dir/desc

Worrying signs: Rush defense weakness but as a
recent post showed, among the best rush defenses
when Leighton Vander Esch is playing. Dak intercep-
tion proclivity, that one may end up a playoff-killer,
but with the NFL's 2nd-best scoring offense, maybe
not.
