I posted a fact about Nation with the highest rates months ago.

Finland, the “happiest country in the world” is also a country with high suicide rates, which brings a set of challenges to the population

So how can one "be happy" but yet the citizens off themselves at a higher clip than other nations

37 countries have higher suicide rates than Finland,
including South Africa, Russia, South Korea, Ukraine,
United States.

Also worth noting that due to social stigmatization &
demonization of suicide by many religions, under-re-
porting of suicides or the use of the phrase "unknown
cause of death" when a suicide occurs is widespread
in many parts of the world.

Well, suicide rate in Finland was 13.4 per 100,000
which means that 1 in 7,462 Finnish people died
by suicide in 2019. It would be a logical error to
surmise that the happiness of 7,461 out of 7,462
live people was related to the death of 1 out of
7,462 people.

Percentage-wise, 99.98659876708657% of peo-
ple in Finland did not die of suicide in 2019.
The 2019 Finnish suicide rate was the 3rd-low-
est it has been since 2000.

I'd surmise that death by any cause is sad for
those who know about it but that the overall
happiness of a people is dependent on their
living conditions (i.e., social welfare).
