I'm afraid that rock is slowly sliding away, similar to the big band
sound our elders loved. Since it's a combinaton of the swing and
country and blues it's more solid. But a fading style. I'm seeing more
combinations of Hip Hop and country and blues and dance hall being
played on radio. So it's transforming .

Oh there is no doubt that rock is not as dominate as it once was, so just call it the "commercial music HOF" .....can't really call it pop music HOF because pop in and of itself is a genre. On the other hand when i see videos like this with teen girls absolutely killing it on lead guitar i know rock is far from dead, girl puts me to shame but i love it! Hey at least i put on a little light show!....her sound is definately produced in a pro studio tho, mines true 100% live with backing track:

Joe belongs in before plenty who are in. Next band im waving the flag for is the Scorpions...they are playing the Garden in their 70s for christ sakes what more do the voters need to see!

And lets be honest.....Dolly Parton and Lionel Richie are FAR from modern day artists anyway! They both were in their peak when rock was King!
