A couple of websites I've found state that
as unfortunately, the Saints lost their final
game 10-7 to the Panthers & ended up in a
tie with 5 other teams having 7-10 records,
& readers of this newsgroup are well aware
that the Saints traded their top draft pick to
the Eagles.

Sadly, had the Saints defeated the Panthers,
the Eagles top draft pick would've been 14th
in a 3-way tie with the Patriots & Packers &
Saints all having 8-9 records.

Turns out the lower a team's strength of
schedule the higher that team's draft pick
when tied with other teams. The first 18
draft picks per the following website:
https://www.tankathon.com/nfl

That website errs in supposing that the
playoffs will end up in the manner that
draft picks 19 to 32 are displayed but in
actuality, we won't know which teams are
at those draft positions until after the play-
offs/Conference Championships/Super
Bowl are played.

NO NO NO, sometimes you just don't
understand football as a loss to the
Eagles would've given the Eagles a
draft pick at spot 8 with a 6-11 record
rather than spot 10 with a 7-10 record
or had they beaten the Panthers, a draft
pick at spot 14.

The Saints WINNING was the Eagles
enemy, the Saints losing was the Eagles
friend, your inability to comprehend the
draft is astonishing.
