Most evenly played game of the series...Its just Tampa got more bodies in front than we did so they won. 2 screen Shots that Igor really never could see. Good forechecking by the Rangers but Tampa pressed the net better and got more bodies in front than the Rangers did. Can't stop shots that you can't see.
3 seeing eye goals but Tampa got 2. Not one goal was pretty or fancy, just block the goalies vision and throw it at the net.

Let's not forget with about 6 minutes left Strome had a tap in set up to a whole empty side of the net, and he missed the puck entirely.

I think that last goal against Shesterkin was redirected in front.

And it would help to avoid these late heart breaking goals, 2 of Tampas 3 wins came with goals in the last 2 minutes that looked like it would be OT games only to result in Ranger losses. Guess we find out if there is no Quit in NY now. Rangers seem comfortable facing elimination, but this is vs the 2X defending champs.

And yeah who knows maybe if Strome was closer to 100% he buries that.....but i'm sure Tampas fans would be crying about the 2 flush posts they hit on wicked shots in the 1st...after that i thought maybe this was our night......but wasn't to be....
