to a felony charge of drunk driving causing
injury" on Thursday morning in San Mateo
county which is just south of San Francisco.

Smith was the 7th pick in the 1st round of
the 2011 draft by the 49ers. He had one of
the most outstanding 2nd seasons of any
player in NFL history, pro bowl / All-Pro
with 19.5 sacks, tied with 2 other players
(including ex-Cowboy DeMarcus Ware) ...

.... for the 14th-most sacks in a season.
The current record for most sacks in a
season of 22.5 was set in 2001 by ex-
Giant Michael Strahan & was tied in 2021
by Steeler T.J. Watt.

to 2014, the Raiders in 2015, was sus-
pended for 2016 to 2019 & spent his
final year with the Cowboys in 2020.

mentioning the Cowboys, & he only men-
tioned the 49ers & Raiders in the next to
last sentence of the article.
