Paul is right it would be an upset if DJ is here in 2023.....as i said before the only untouchables i see are prolly Leo, McKinney and the 2 young tackles and Thebow...period.

For DJ to stay i think first and foremost would be winning record, but not only THAT because remember Goff and Jimmy G got their teams to the SUPERBOWL and were dumped or about to be dumped in Jimmys case! And obviously the Rams made the proper move.

So prolly winning record AND DJ being top 10 in some big stat categories......that would prolly save his Giant career because barring a trade up the Giants will not be in position to draft the top few QB prospects if they finish above .500 and it would be foolish to dump a top 10 NFL QB just because he is not "your guy", meaning the new regime didnt pick him.

The past decade has seen an number of 'foolish' moves by the Giants. If
we can finish over .500, that's a huge plus. This team is a few years
away at best. The Giants would be best off sticking with Jones at least
2 more season; unless he tanks, of course. By 2025, a franchise QB might
be eligible either through the draft or FA and could be the missing piece.

The ONLY reason he is still here is because it was a bad QB draft this year, lets be honest.
or just like Trubiski or Baker he would be trying to pick up the pieces. But to the people who think the Giants would be better off tanking....there is a good chance the NEXT guy wkll not make it...like
mayfeild/Darnold/goff/rosen......on and on...what were supposed to think the rookie GM and rookie coach are the next coming of the pre-cap george young? maybe Schoen will be but i gotta see it before i belive it....HE didnt have final word on Josh Allen....his BOSS in buffalo did...he may be the joe judge of gms for all we know!!!!

I don't think it would be an upset for DJ to be here in 2023. I strongly feel that he will have a good year this year with the improved line and better coaching. The big knock on him were the fumbles and that was only his rookie year. I was shocked to see that he has a higher QB rating than Eli and a lower int rate than Eli even with all the crap coaching, oline and different playbooks he has had to deal with. I doubt any QB picked in the last 4 years could have done much better.

Thats what we are hoping for Tom that he will stick. But i think Paul is right the odds are against him. He has a LOT working against him. The oline may be improved but it is a work in progress. There still is no true #1 WR (remember Golladay was supposed to be that guy, maybe this year who knows). There is ZERO TE right now. A LOT has to go right for him to stay and when was the last time that ANYTHING has gone right on offense for this Giants team? I think TC was coach then! And last but not least is DJ is not the new regimes guys, and you know how that works, they will not hesitate to move on. But we are rooting for him, he has talent, this is not a Dave Brown situation when you knew by year 2 you had a bust, DJ has shown flashes with no help. Especially rookie year when he had a HC who was also a successful OC in the NFL...not some unknown special teams coach like Judge was.

There still is no true #1 WR (remember Golladay was supposed to be that guy, maybe this year who knows)..

Oh and a left out yet ANOTHER new offense and he has to stay relatively healthy....i mean if he misses a few games out of 17 no biggie, i wouldnt count that against him. i do hope he gets a lot of action in preseason tho, he did as a rookie and that really helped him in Shurmurs offense as he looked sharp in preseason and by game 3 he won the starting job from Eli and deserved it.
