The last 2 playoff games 'tween the Cow-
boys & 49ers have ended in disappointing
manners for Cowboys fans & players &
coaches & owner.

Last year (running out of time, hurt by an
official being in the way, unable to get the
snap off after 17 yard Dak run), this year
a rare perhaps never-seen-before offen-
sive alignment with a pass thrown to the
player you'd think would be in the mix ...

.... later but -not- the 1st player thrown to,
that player tackled immediately before
having a chance to lateral or do anything,
explained in the following article as if that
play had worked, Dallas scoring a miracu-
lous 76 yard touchdown, "Dallas would ...

.... have gone for the win with the 2-point
attempt."

One can only wonder what that play was sup-
posed to play out as, but its primary flaw was
throwing to a player so closely covered that
he was immediately tackled before having a
chance to lateral to anybody.

Some articles called the play hilarious, but it
certainly wasn't hilarious for Cowboys fans &
players & coaches & owner.

plays disappointingly, 1st & last 2022 regular
season games (3rd-worst & 4th-worst passer-
ratings of his career, his last game vs Coms,
his lowest completion% of his career), & 7
straight games with interceptions including
3 pick-6s).

In playoff games vs the 49ers the last 2 years,
last year was at the time his worst passer-rat-
ing in the playoffs; this year he bottomed that
with his most playoff interceptions & his new
worst passer-rating in playoff games.

His 49ers playoffs, his 3rd & 4th losses as star-
ter in playoff games, overall 2-4 as Cowboys
playoff games starter.

Sidenote: Tony Pollard leaving the game with
injury (turned out to be a broken fibula) & un-
mentioned by anyone, no one willing to play a
good & fast backup runner, Malik Davis, who
had some long impressive runs during the
season (17 vs Packers, 23 vs Titans, 23 vs

Sidenote2: 49ers killer drive, they ran the ball
as if Dallas couldn't stop them & the reason
for that is the Cowboys rarely had success in
stopping the run all season long, & on that
drive the 49ers ran 6 times averaging 7.33
yards per run, topped off with an 8 yard run
for the 49ers sole TD of the game.

The Bucs had their 2nd-most rushing yards
of the season vs the Cowboys in the season
opener. They finished dead last in rushing in
the regular season, but vs the Cowboys in the
playoffs, they depended solely on Brady 66
times (probably close to a playoff record) ...

.... & forgot their success in running vs the
Cowboys in the season opener.

Indeed, I looked that up & that was the 2nd-
most times passing in a playoff game, 2nd
to Ben Roethlisberger who passed 68 times
in a Wild Card playoff in 2021:
