ALL 3 BUSTS.....so far at least....now someone tell me the draft isnt over rated so i can laugh my azzzz off....now you guys know why i dont get excited over rookies.....even if they had a rookie year like Barkleys. OBJ had a fabulous first 2 or 3 years even. I remember Baker went from like bottom of first round to #1 overall in like a few weeks, why i dunno. I think he has looked good at times when i watched him, but certainly not deserving as #1 overall. But i think he can be a mid pack QB starter.

And the next draft was Murray (jury still out IMO, even tho he is the 2020s Mike Vick- ESPN darling) DJ (Jury close to returning verdict after a stay of execution do to no plan B)....and poor Haskins! Deceased but already had the bust sticker on him.....So think twice EVEN IF the Giants have another crap year and get a high pick....it means NOTHING... so lets just root for them to win as many as they can....

But we don't know how things would be different if Josh Allen was taken by the Browns or Jets. He may have been a bust. He definitely would have bombed out if the Giants had taken him at #2. Coaching and the team around you are important. And Lamar Jackson Mr MVP would never have had his same numbers if he was taken in the top of the draft with a lousy team.

Its pretty much a given if you are drafted in top 10 (Where ALL projected franchise QBs are drafted), barring a trade up, the team you are joining is shitty...you just gotta hope the team is heading the right direction, and a good chance they have a new coach, gm , everything. In DJs case its his third coach already. Look at Lawrence he was the most highly touted since Luck but he didnt exactly light it up and his clown shoes coach was fired in less than a year.....all QBs should be given a minimum of 3 years tho, Allen was no all pro his first year either. Its not like RB where their early prime begins as a rookie. Mahomes barely played! A coach can mess up a talented player, but at the same time a coach isnt Jesus Christ, he cant give said player any more talent, every guy has a ceiling and sometimes they just don't have it, like Dave Brown or Danny Kanell or Kent Graham....Those guys dont even get a 2nd chance as a starter, a Baker or a Darnold or a Trubiski will always get a 2nd chance.....sometimes a 3rd or 4th even.

I seem to be a minority of one, but I didn't think Baker was anywhere
near as bad as his critics made him out to be. He may never be as good
as Josh Allen but he's head and heels above Darnold. He'll succeed in
the right situation.

I think he is OK but didnt deserve #1 overall...i don't think Murray deserved it either.

There is a reason it helps to be tall as a QB, namely to see over and around guys who are 6-5 300....your own guys as well as the defense. And now we are hearing how Murray isnt such a great teammate/leader , which is a must for a QB... either in the way you carry yourself or by the example of how you play and preferably both. even Drew Brees was over 6 ft...Murray is listed as 5 10 but looks even shorter next to those huge guys. Maybe he will prove me wrong but i have my doubts and please pro bowl doesnt mean shit to me, its turned into the guys who decide to show up that dont go deep in the playoffs...and even the starters are picked by a hodge podge of fans/players/coaches....

Joe Burrow has gotten off to a pretty damn good start....i assume you are talking QB's....Stafford was a #1 overall, but i still wouldn't call Eli no brainer #1, there was 2 other pretty damn good QB's in that draft, one we drafted and traded for Eli and other is a future HOF. He deserved #1 but just because of the year i wouldnt say he was no brainer #1.

yep but so far he has Dan Marino written all over him....even after a major knee surgery...and he is doing it behind a line that gave up more sacks than the Giants....how many times did tennessee sack him in playoffs....9 times? On what planet do you get sacked 9 times and still win?! The same planet that has Ryan Tannehill as the opposing QB i guess!
