ESPN’s Todd Archer is reporting that the
Dallas Cowboys have opted to move off
several assistant coaches.

The list includes senior defensive assistant
George Edwards, assistant defensive line
coach Leon Lett, running backs coach Skip
Peete and offensive line coach Joe Philbin.

All four were among those with expiring
contracts.

dls thought long & hard & came up with
the profound conclusion that 4+2=6, &
thought that sharing that fact & adding
an insult merited our attention. If 1 other
coach is reported to "move on", dls may
add to his previous profound conclusion ...

.... & share that 6+1=7, & as he's prone to
use insults, he'd be likely to produce yet
another in his long line of insults parade.

The term "move on", interesting as that
along with the fact that all 6 contracts of
those individuals expired is different than
what some articles say, using the word
"fired". Recently an article shared that
Dak & his latest girlfriend had "moved on", ...

.... so I suppose "move on" & "move off"'
are polite ways of saying "split" without
trying to go into details regarding which
one made the decision, possibly both, &
why one or the other or both made the
decision.

Interesting that work relationships, when
splits occur, are often called "firing", some-
times using the phrase "move on" or "mu-
tually agreed to part ways" or "move off".

In personal relationships, when splits oc-
cur, some are referred to as "spending time
apart", some are informal or legal "separa-
tion", & once a final split occurs, a "divorce"
is often the deal when a legal marriage ...

.... ends, but in personal relationships ending,
the gentler phrase "move on" is often used,
with many sometimes (whether it's true or
not) using the positive spin "amicably". One
suspects that acrimonious splits are often
covered up with the acrimony kept secret.
