After 4 years without one, the Rangers have a Captain. Jacob Trouba, he of the mean but clean open Ice hits. Its amazing the Rangers waited so long, i said it should have been Krieder years ago, before his career year last year even. But i will not argue with Trouba, altho not an original Ranger like Chris....well, nor was Mess! A captain is more than just a team leader in Hockey, he is responsible for working the refs as much if not more than the HC.

Yea i thought the only reason Chris WASN'T named captain before was because he was always on the trading block...as they say some of the best moves are the ones you do not make...

I don't follow hockey as close as I do the other 3 major team sports,
but I've been wondering why Chris Kreider hadn't been named Captain.
Does he not command the respect in the locker room?
