Biden in Poland says US &
allies ‘have Ukraine’s back’

Earlier in the day, Biden met with Polish Presi-
dent Andrzej Duda as he began consultations

said at the presidential palace. “It’s that basic,
that simple, that consequential.” He described
NATO as “maybe the most consequential alli-
ance in history,” & he said it’s “stronger than it’s
ever been” despite the Russian leader’s hopes
that it would fracture over the war in Ukraine.

Duda praised the American president’s visit to
Kyiv as “spectacular,” saying it “boosted morale
of Ukraine’s defenders.” He said the trip was “a
sign that the free world, and its biggest leader,
the president of the United States, stands by
them.”

The Pentagon rejects that narrative, saying
safeguards have been put in place to ensure
that U.S. weapons are accounted for by the
Ukrainian forces after they are transferred.

“The department takes our commitment to
Ukraine seriously, which is why we imple-
mented strong measures to track the capa-
bilities we are providing to equip Ukraine,"
said Sabrina Singh, the Pentagon's deputy
press secretary.

Sidenote: U.S. & NATO aid to Ukraine is cri-
tical for 1) keeping Ukraine free, 2) ending
the Russian attack on Ukraine infrastructure,
especially their attacks on energy & civilians,
3) helping Ukraine protect ALL democracy,
everywhere, the defeat of Russia a key ...

& the U.S., and 4) the defeat of Russia would
be a strong warning to China regarding the
consequences & risks of a China attack on
Taiwan, arguably decreasing the chance of
