Shocker of the summer. Before he went down he was the heart and soul of the good Giants 2020 defense (if i recall they finished 12th....tops of any unit for the Giants since the collapse of 2017). Not sure if it was just was salary cap move or his knee or both...

Schwartz says it was knee and he "did not fit" in the new scheme....Mckinney will be knew defensive QB. I did see a long interview with McKinney at camp and he sounded very bright, good head on his shoulders...and as we know talent and brains do not always align. Still big responsibility for a young guy.

When a team is as bad as the Giants have been the past few years, nobody
is indispensable.

Remember the defense was the least of the Giants worries last few years. One of the few bright spots in fact...
Well getting rid of one of the few DG free agents that actually produced is strange, same with Bradberry, but that was a cap move...they call it a "disconnect" .....almost as if he didnt like his role in the new defense...I just hope they stop the run this year or this move is gonna be questioned.....Tae Crowder isnt exactly Harry Carson....or Blake Martinez for that matter, maybe Crowder is better in pass coverage, but inspite of it being more of a passing league now than ever its still you have to stop the run first..
