I never understood why they were in such a rush to get rid of him anyway.....not like the Giants are loaded at WR, lets be serious....and i think he was a 4th rounder, how much could have he been making even before the pay cut? He certainly has earned his money more than fuckin Golladay so far, among others at different positions...for a 4th rounder not like you can call him a bust, we got about what you would expect....not great, not bad...

If Golladay doesn't put up some big numbers this year he will be considered the biggest FA bust of all time. Remember Andrew Thomas had more TD's last year than he had.

Tom, Andrew Thomas had more touchdowns than Golladay and Toney combined! And, IIRC, he also caught a 2 point conversion.

In an ideal world, all NFL contracts would be incentive laden league
minimum deals. The star players would produce and earn the salaries
they're currently making through bonuses, the bums will regress and
curse themselves for not giving the effort necessary to earn equal to
their 'peers'.

There is several problems with that of course....it would make the players MORE selfish and less team oriented. no guarentees if you get hurt. The new USFL is "socialism football" if you will....QB makes the same as the guard and bonuses are all based on playoff advancing, all shared equally...and the base salary is pretty low..forgot what it is but far less than $100,000....it really is "regular guy" football.
