All those _stupid_ turnovers.

All those wide-open looks from three by Memphis. Continuing to go under
the screen on Brooks.

And then they won. And their secret weapon? Kevon Looney.

Amazing.

They're high risk, high reward plays, throwing passes ahead to try to
get easy layups in transition.

In crunch time, they didn't take those risks, made less risky plays
though those included Curry pulling up off transition after Dray pushed
the ball and a long 3 attempts, one made and one missed by Curry.

The turnovers and the hero ball shots could come back to haunt them with
their next opponent, which thrive off turnovers -- so do the Grizzlies,
they were one of the best at converting turnovers.

But this is the team, Curry and Klay taking big shots, some of them
probably ill advised.

They have to live and die by these shots because they don't have big
time midrange shooters or those capable of finishing at a high rate at
the rim. Well Curry does in some games but he has to pick his spots
because he takes a punishment every time he drives.

Memphis has one of the best interior defenses in the league with JJJ a
big time shot blocker and Adams taking up a lot of space. But the
Warriors made them chase the 3s so that is partly why Loony got so many
rebounds, including offensive rebounds.

Then those offensive rebounds led to good open looks and Klay hit a big 3.

They're so up and down, man! But they seem to usually be spunky and
competitive. In this game, in spite of all the, yes, _stupid_ turnovers,
they played good defense, made enough offensive plays and kept the game
close. Those last 6 minutes were amazing. Wiggins also was a big
catalyst - those 4 straight points he scored were huge. I think the
difference in that game is that the Warriors were able to suck it up and
perform at their peak in the last 6 minutes, whereas the Grizzlies
sucked, got (cold feet? nervous?) and couldn't sink any shots.

That's pretty much the story of the series. The Warriors were able to
close out the close games.

I was flying back from Virginia and bought Wifi so I could watch the game on the flight back. it was frustrating that:

1. The turnovers were mostly self inflicted. Drive to the basket and kick it back into a Grizzlies player.

2. The Warriors left the shooters open way too many times. They were trying to switch but at times overcommitted to one player.

But I thought the Grizzlies didn't have enough to pull away. The Warriors kept it close so the stars could close out.

Now the question is: Suns or Mavericks? Anyone have a preference?

Warriors have home court advantage if they play Dallas, so that's
probably my pick.

Although I expect Phoenix to win today on its home court.

The thing I am hoping for the most is that Porter will be available.
Brown played the starters most of the game, and they're going to need
competent bench minutes in the next series.

My second hope is that Kerr is available. The team needs him.

I'm doubtful that Iguodala will be available, and unsure whether he can
contribute even if he is.

GPII maybe if they get to the finals.

Dtailed breakdown of how they really raised their game to put the game away.
