Netflix 8 episode series that ended with an
explosion & non-resolution of who attacked
the British warship leading one to suspect
there will be at least one more season. A
2nd season has not yet been announced.

Primary star/lead, Keri Russell, playing the
role of Helen Wyler, recently appointed am-
bassador to Great Britain. She's involved in
a rather odd marriage that she seems to
want out of for reasons I don't understand
but also seems to want to keep going.

Her husband Hal Wyler, played by Rufus
Sewell, also plays a starring role as the
husband of Helen who wants to keep his
marriage going. He's a former diplomat
with a lot of past successes & shortcom-
ings.

An attack on a British warship plays the
central role with the British & American
effort to determine who attacked & how
to react to the attack the central theme
of the series.

Episode 8 ends with an explosion that
makes Helen think her husband has been
killed, but we won't know for sure what
happened until the next season, presum-
ing Netflix renews the series.

I give it a thumbs up 88. The relationship
issues 'tween Helen & Hal remind me of
the way I wanted to stay married to my
ex-wife & the manner in which no matter
what I did, once she decided to end our
marriage nothing I tried to do seemed ...

.... to matter one iota, having no impact
whatsoever on her inexplicable decision.

Well, I thought she was in love with me.
Unfortunately, turns out she loved my
money much more than me.

I suffered from depression from the age
of 8 'til cured in 2005 with Wellbutrin XL
& Mirtazapine. I never had OCD. Having
Islit (Insulinitis, aka type 1 diabetes) from
age 5 (about 1 in 200 Americans have it)
& being a loner, long-lived deals.

My ex-wife, many different partners, I know
of at least 4, I was her 2nd marriage. With
us, from my perspective, she had an inability
to compromise, kind of a her way or she lost
mindset. Compromise wasn't something she
was capable of.

I attempted to get her to go to marriage coun-
seling but she wouldn't do it. As for me, I've
always had an anger problem that sneaks
up on me from time to time & that, in addi-
tion to the other problems mentioned, was
the deal.

Social skills, for some reason I've never had
them, & from an early age I kept away from
social gatherings, never comfortable with
those. The gift of gab, never had that. Insec-
urity around girls/women, always had that.
Self-confidence? Never had that.
