after they tagged him, no takers....no wonder they low balled him in negotiations, they knew their was no market for him already.....the original plan was to tag Jones and sign Barkley, obviously Team Barkley way overplayed their hand.....

To me this is all a win-win for the Giants....i'm glad he is coming back and doesnt have to sit out because of the tag, but also the Giants are not risking future money if he goes down......the non trade is all hypothetical of course cause we dunno what the return would be...not enough to satisfy Schoen i guess....

As I've said before, Barkley has the misfortune of excelling at a
position that has an abundance of available players who are more than
adequate. He'd have been better off honing those QB skills.

Yea basically if they want a raise they better hold out before their rookie deal expires....shit after 5 years they are on their back 9....you would be better off as an undrafted free agent...assuming you have a breakout year.....
