Central BBQ on central avenue is the best BBQ I've ever had bar none. Interstate is the worst and the Rendezvous the most over rated.

I'm surprised you don't mention your namesake, Corky's, which serves
some pretty damn good bones. I like the Rendezvous quite a bit as well, though

Interstate has good BBQ spaghetti. At Central, the wings stand out to me more than the BBQ. In fact, over the past decade or so, memphis has become as much of a wing town as a bbq one, at least amongst the locals. For BBQ, I recommend BBQ Shop, Cozy Corner (get the cornish hen), or a dive bar called Alex’s that serves some great ribs. A lot of local folks love Payne’s as well.

The Rendezvous doesn't bother to pull the membrane off the back of the ribs. It seems like upscale fast food to me. I had Corky's at one of the casinos in Tunica and wasn't impressed. They're franchised so that's a turn off to me.

I can't imagine driving to Memphis to get bbq cornish hen or spaghetti. I want fall off the bone baby back ribs.

I meant the original Corky's. The only other one I have gone to was in
Pigeon Forge. It was franchised, but still good. I guess I am not that much
of a purist... :)

I wouldn’t drive to memphis for any of those things. I’m just pointing out that there’s more to memphis bbq than ribs and pulled pork; and the best bbq is in the hood, not at places like Rendezvous, corkys, and even central.
